On May 1, most of the non-U.S. world marked International Workers' Day. A clearly vigorous Fidel Castro addressed a crowd of a million on Revolution Square in Havana, urging their continued stalwartness in the likely event of attack from the north. The wielder of imperial forces against evil, who professes to have a worthy command of Spanish (though televised last year flubbing two-digit numbers), may have been the only viewer who required an interpreter of either speech or 'focus group'.The magazine devoted its Aug '02 issue, "Enduring Revolution," to Cuba.
